VOCALOID Fanart: Hatsune Miku – World Is Mine

September 7th, 2009 at 07:16 pm

This figure is awesome, but don't think that I can buy it in next future. So I just drew it as compensation.
Also, I made screens of work process, I'll post the step-by-step with comments in next days.
Word Is Mine PV is here. Original artwork is here.

    Thanks to you all, guys. I don't find this piece to be well turned, so I'm glad that you like it nevertheless.

    @Sakurei

    ...*kills self* ;A; I think I figured out why it got cut off though... Sorry for the spam ._. I just wanted to ask whether you shaded on the same one layer or whether you make multiple layers above it clipped using blending modes like multiply/screen.

    Don't mention it )
    Here I put shades on the same layer, but it is good idea, to make clipping layers above the base layer, if you use gradient instead solid color on the base layer. In these pictures I used clipping layers: 1, 2.
    Also, I apply adjustment layers like multiply or overlay only in the end of work for the whole picture to get single tint for shadows and light parts or for texturing.
